PLAN INTERNATIONAL, O SECRETARIADO FONGTIL E O CAUCUS LANÇARAM O PROJETO DE REFORÇO DAS ORGANIZAÇÕES DA SOCIEDADE CIVIL PARA A DIVERSIDADE

Na, Quarta-feira, 14 de janeiro de 2026, a Plan International, o Secretariado do Fórum de ONG de Timor-Leste (FONGTIL) e o CAUCUS lançaram o Projeto de Reforço das Organizações da Sociedade Civil para a Diversidade: Reforça da Liderança da Sociedade Civil para uma Governação Melhorada e Desenvolvimento Sustentável em Timor-Leste.

O Lançamento do Projeto foi realizado no Hotel Timor Díli com o objetivo de fortalecer a e  capacita as lideranças das organizações da sociedade civil local (OSCL) em Timor-Leste, com foco em mulheres, jovens e grupos diversos, para promover  acontabilidade, salvaguardar a liberdade de expressão e apoiar o desenvolivento inclusivo.

Na Abertura, o Diretor Executivo do FONGTIL Sr. Inocençio de Jesus Xavier Disse: “É com grande honra que aqui me apresento hoje como representante do Consórcio (Plan International Timor-Leste, CAUCUS ONG, e a própria FONGTIL) que foi admitido neste projeto do consórcio da UE com o nome: Reforçar das OSCs para a Diversidade – Reforçar as Lideranças da Sociedade Civil para uma Governação Melhor e Desenvolvimento Sustentável em Timor-Leste. O projeto terá início em novembro de 2025 e terminará em outubro de 2028. Obrigado à União Europeia pelo seu apoio. Este projeto possui um quadro lógico, e os seguintes são os objetivos gerais: Reforçar a liderança e a capacidade das organizações da sociedade civil locais e o trabalho em rede, com especial ênfase nas mulheres, jovens e grupos diversos, para influenciar e responsabilizar o governo, proteger a liberdade de expressão e promover o envolvimento cívico para um desenvolvimento inclusivo e sustentável em Timor-Leste. O programa irá beneficiar a Organização da Sociedade Civil em 4 municípios: Ainaro, Atauro, Ermera e Viqueque. Agradecemos o apoio da União Europeia ao Consórcio e agradecemos ao Governo de Timor-Leste por criar uma boa cooperação com a UE. Muito Obrigado”.

PLAN INTERNATIONAL, FONGTIL AND CAUCUS LAUNCHED THE PROJECT ON STRENGTHENING CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS FOR DIVERSITY

On Wednesday 14 January 2026, Plan International, the Timor-Leste NGO Forum Secretariat (FONGTIL) and CAUCUS launched the Project on Strengthening Civil Society Organizations for Diversity: Strengthening Civil Society Leadership for Improved Governance and Sustainable Development in Timor-Leste”.

This Launch of the Project was carried out at Hotel Timor Díli With the Objective is to strengthen the leadership and capacity of local civil society organizations (LCSOs) in Timor-Leste, focusing on women, youth, and diverse groups to promote accountability, safeguard freedom of expression, and support inclusive development.

In the Opening, the Executive Director of FONGTIL Mr. Inocençio de Jesus Xavier Said: “In great honor, I stand here today as a representative of the Consortium (Plan International Timor-Leste, CAUCUS NGO, and FONGTIL itself) that admitted in this EU consortium project Name: Strengthening CSOs for. Diversity – Strenghtening Civil Society Leadership for Improved Governance and Sustainable Development in Timor Leste. The project will start from November 2025 to October 2028. Thank you to the European Union for its support. This project is with logical framework the following are general objectives: To strengthen the leadership and capacity of local civil society organizations and networking with special emphasis on women, youth and the group of diverse to influence and give responsibility to the government, protect freedom of expression, and promote civic engagement for inclusive and sustainable development in Timor-Leste. The program will benefit the Civil Society Organization in 4 municipalities: Ainaro, Atauro, Ermera and Viqueque.
