A DECLARAÇÃO DA FONGTIL PARA COMEMORAR O DIA MUNDIAL DOS DIREITOS HUMANOS.

O Fórum das Organizações Não Governamentais de Timor-Leste (FONGTIL) é uma associação de 291 ONG locais, nacionais e internacionais. Possui personalidade jurídica nos termos do Decreto-Lei nº 5/2005, de 3 de agosto. Trata-se de uma organização da sociedade civil em Timor-Leste, cujo mandato se baseia em quatro vertentes: Disiminasão de Informação, Coordenação, Capacitação dos Membros e Advocacia.

O Dia Mundial dos Direitos Humanos é celebrado a 10 de dezembro e é uma data importante para promover e proteger os direitos humanos em todo o mundo.

Timor-Leste é um país com uma história de dor, cheia de violações dos direitos humanos, luta pela autodeterminação e pela liberdade atual. Após os anos de ocupação e violência, o nosso país conquistou a independência em 2002 e tem vindo a trabalhar para construir uma sociedade justo e igual.

No entanto, sabemos que os direitos humanos continuam a ser um desafio no nosso país e nas outras terras que lutam pela sua autodeterminação, como a Papua Ocidental, o Saara Ocidental, a Palestina, a Guiné-Bissau, o Myanmar e outros, o que continua a levar à prática de discriminação, violência e injustiça social, afetando a vida de muitas pessoas, especialmente mulheres, crianças e grupos minoritários.

Por essa razão, o Fórum das ONG de Timor-Leste (FONGTIL) pediu a todos nós que refletíssemos sobre os direitos humanos e trabalhassemos em conjunto para promover a justiça, a igualdade e a dignidade para todos.

No âmbito da celebração do Dia Mundial dos Direitos Humanos, a 10 de dezembro, o FONGTIL expressou profundamente a sua determinação e compromisso inquebráveis pela dignidade humana e pela defesa incondicional dos direitos fundamentais de todos. Esta data recorda a todos no mundo que a liberdade, a igualdade e a justiça não são apenas princípios universais, mas aspirações humanas que exigem vigilância constante, solidariedade ativa e responsabilidade coletiva.

Hoje, nós, juntamente com a comunidade internacional, homenageamos aqueles que, ao longo da história, se dedicam a promover os direitos humanos e a reconhecer o progresso no caminho da justiça e da inclusão. No entanto, o FONGTIL também considera que persistem desafios significativos, exigindo coragem moral e um novo compromisso de todas as pessoas no mundo.

Em Timor-Leste, a concretização da liberdade é forte na memória nacional, e este dia tem um significado único. Isso exige que reforcemos a proteção dos direitos de cada cidadão, promovendo o respeito mútuo e garantindo que todos, sem exceção, possam viver com dignidade, segurança e esperança.

O FONGTIL apela ao Estado de Timor-Leste e a todos os países do mundo para cumprirem com firmeza e sensibilidade as convenções internacionais que ratificaram. Este dia pode inspirar-nos a agir com empatia, a defender os mais vulneráveis e a construir um futuro em que cada pessoa tenha um verdadeiro valor.

THE FONGTIL STATEMENT TO CELEBRATE WORLD HUMAN RIGHTS DAY.

 

The Timor-Leste Non Government Organization Forum (FONGTIL) as an Association of 291 local, national and international NGOs. With his legal personality based on Decree-Law No. 5/2005 the third (3) of August. The same as a civil society organisation in Timor-Leste, which has four mandate are the Information Deamination, The Coordination, The Member Empowerment and The Advocacy.

The World Human Rights Day is celebrated on December 10 th and is an important date to promote and protect human rights around the world.

Timor-Leste is a country with a history of pain full of violations human rights struggle for self-determination and current freedom. After the years of occupation and violence, our country gained independence in 2002 and has been working to build a fair and equal society.

However, we know that human rights are still a challenge in our country and the other lands that are fighting for their self-determination such as West Papua, Western Sahara, Palestine, Guiné-Bissau, Myanmar and the others, which continues to lead to the practise of discrimination, violence and social injustice continues to affect the lives of many people, especially women, children and minority groups.

For the reason, the Timor-Leste NGO Forum (FONGTIL) required to all of us are to reflect on human rights and work together to promote justice, equality, and dignity for everyone.

In the context of World Human Rights Day’s celebration on December 10th, FONGTIL with deeply expressed the determination and commitment that does not break for human dignity and the Incondicional defense of the fundamental rights of everyone. This date reminds everyone around the world that freedom, equality, and justice are not only universal principles, but human aspirations that require constant monitoring, active solidarity, and collective responsibility.

Today, we together with the international community, honour those who, throughout history, are dedicated to promoting human rights and recognizing progress in the way of justice and inclusion. However, FONGTIL also think that significant challenges persists moral courage and a new commitment for all people in the world.

In Timor-Leste, the realization of freedom is strong in national memory, and this day has a unique meaning. This requires that we strengthen the protection of the rights of each citizen, to promote mutual respect, and to ensure that everyone without exception can live in dignity, security and hope.

FONGTIL inquire to Timor-Leste state and the all countries in the world to comply with the international conventions that have been ratified with firmness and sensitivity. This day can inspire us to act empathisedly, to defend the most vulnerable, and to build a future in which each person to have a true value.
